Nail of the Day: Creep is the darkest color in the Naked nail polish collection by Urban Decay. It is a black base with silver micro-glitter, unlike its namesake eyeshadow from the Naked palette, which is black with multi-colored micro-glitter. Black nail polish with silver glitter is pretty common so I’m disappointed Urban Decay didn’t make this polish color closer to the eyeshadow color since multi-colored micro-glitter in a black base is much less common. Also, the first coat of this polish goes on very streaky and sheer; however, I was still able to get reasonably opaque coverage in two coats. I used one coat of nailtiques as a base, since I’m working on improving my natural nails, then one coat of Orly’s Bonder so the polish would adhere better, two coats of Creep, one coat of Orly’s Polishield as a top coat and a couple drops of Orly’s Flash-Dry on each nail to speed up the drying process. Even though I put a lot of layers on my nails in a short period of time, about an hour or so, my manicure dried very quickly using the Orly drops and I didn’t have any smudges or nicks at all. Without a topcoat, this polish would have had a slightly matte, kinda dull finish. Creep definitely isn’t my favorite polish in the Naked collection, though I still like it and will wear it.
Have you tried Creep? Would you prefer if it had glitter colored more similarly to the eyeshadow? Let me know in the comments below!
