Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeshadows are some of the best, at any price. The Eyeshadow Trios are my favorite of all the Wet n Wild eyeshadows, the Color Icon formula is the best quality, the three pan size is convenient, and the color arrangements are nice. My favorite trio for easy, pretty, day to day looks is Sweet As Candy.
The lightest shade in the palette, the browbone shade, is great for highlighting, it’s a shimmery cream shade that blends out to create a subtle shimmer or can be applied in a more concentrated way to highlight around the inner corner or just under the brow.
The darkest shade in the trio is more of a midtone shade, nice for lightly defining the crease and the area above. Although this shadow has a little bit of a satin finish, it’s subtle enough to still work well in the crease area. It also blends out beautifully.
The shimmery satin pink eyelid shade is a soft enough pink that it won’t make your eyes look red or sickly, but pink and pigmented enough to brighten. This color is especially flattering to green and hazel eyes because of the contrast it creates. It smooths on nicely and blends easily.
Although the packaging for the Color Icon Trios isn’t the most attractive, it is sturdy and slim, there’s no extra bulk. The clear lid conveniently allows you to easily see what colors are inside. The mini applicator and brush included aren’t the best tools for applying shadow, but they get the job done, which makes these little compacts great for travel and purse-friendly.
Wet n Wild Color Icon shadows are incredible, particularly the three in the Sweet As Candy trio. At $2.99 for three large pans of eyeshadow, they’re an amazing product at an affordable price.
