NOTD: Revlon Colorstay – Rain Forest

Revlon Colorstay Rain Forest5

Nail of the Day: My love affair with Revlon’s Colorstay line of nail polish continues… mostly. Rain Forest is a beautiful deep forest (lol duh, what else?) green color with lighter yellow-green glitter. It’s beautiful. I love it as a fall/winter color. I missed that by a couple months, but it’s still gorgeous. I had a bit of difficulty applying the color, I think my bottle just needs a few drops of thinner. The first time I applied it, it was way too thick and had a ton of bubbles under the surface. I removed it, started over, and it went on very nicely. I highly recomment applying 3 very sheer coats instead of one or two thick coats. The color builds up nicely and could easily be fully opaque in 2, but I think the finish is smoother and glossier with 3. I used the Colorstay Base Coat and Top Coat to keep everything chip free and protect my nails from staining and my manicure lasted well over a week, even though I was rather rough on it when the cleaning bug bit me.

*Sorry about the poor picture quality. I had fits trying to get good natural lighting.
